What a virtual try-on is
A virtual try-on shows you what an outfit might look like on you before you put it on. You provide a photo of yourself and choose the pieces, and the software generates a preview image. It helps you compare combinations quickly and decide which ones are worth wearing.
How to take a good photo
- Use a full-length photo that shows you from head to toe.
- Stand in good, even light, ideally facing a window, and avoid harsh shadows.
- Use a plain background and stand straight with your arms slightly away from your body.
- Wear fitted clothes so the shape of your body is clear.
How to use the preview
Treat the result as a preview and an approximation. It is useful for colour, proportion and overall look, but it is not a measurement of how a garment will fit. Try the pieces on in person for fit.
How it works in WearDrobe
In WearDrobe you upload a full-length photo of yourself, choose pieces from your wardrobe, and WearDrobe generates a preview of the outfit. Results take a short while. If something in a generated image should not be there, you can report it with the flag icon or by email, and reports are reviewed by a person.
Your photos and your privacy
Your wardrobe, photos, try-ons and chats are private to your account. You can delete your account in the app or on the website under Settings, Delete account, and your account and everything in it is deleted straight away, with copies in backups erased within 30 days.
